Birtenshaw supported tenancies provide personal care to young adults with a range of physical or learning disability.
Adults who are supported by Birtenshaw may present with varying degrees of emotional and behavioural difficulties and sometimes behaviours that may be challenging. They are likely to require a stable caring environment to develop their potential.
This can be provided through a supported tenancy which offers a high level of independence for the young adult within a safe, supervised environment supported by dedicated, experienced and well trained staff.
Supported tenancies are a positive way of realising the potential of young adults through developing and strengthening life skills, including social and communication skills, and opening up opportunities for work or further education placements.
We believe that through an individual and holistic approach, combined with robust policies and procedures, we have rigorous monitoring processes to ensure positive outcome are achieved by the adults we support.
