Sensory Tactile Wall Project
Sensory equipment stimulates the primary senses and enhances the quality of life for disabled children by encouraging movement and enabling them to interact more easily with their environment. The sensory tactile wall incorporates four basic learning styles and helps disabled children to develop motor and cognitive skills; it also encourages communication and social interaction for disabled children.
Children with a profound and multiple learning disability often lack confidence and concentration and this can lead to feelings of frustration, isolation and exclusion. Sensory equipment such as the tactile wall can have a positive impact on a child’s confidence and concentration span. The sensory tactile wall can be used in multi-sensory creative play sessions by children with a learning or physical disability. The equipment will help to lay the foundation for developing the skills needed for academic, social and emotional learning and provide a firm basis for ongoing education.
Please support this project and help to create a brighter future for children with special needs.
Estimated Cost: £2,000 per wall
