Staff at Birtenshaw Hall work hard to ensure a warm, friendly environment. We understand the importance of maintaining strong links with families, carers and the surrounding community.  staff work collaboratively across all our services, making full use of our specialist facilities to offer the best care, education and therapy.

Education can be provided on a day pupil basis or combined with  a care package. Care packages can be provided on a short breaks (respite) basis, or a shared care or full time basis.

 For each young person we aim to:

• Develop and achieve as much independence and personal autonomy as possible.
• Provide a stimulating, supportive and caring environment.
• Provide a variety of learning opportunities and experiences, differentiated to meet individual needs.
• Promote self-esteem, recognising and rewarding achievements in all areas of life.
• Support parents/carers as co-workers in the care, education and well being of their child.
