ACCOMODATION
- Birtenshaw Hall
- Green Fields
- Short Break Service
Birtenshaw Hall Children’s Homes offer up to sixteen placements for children and young people aged 4 – 19 years. In addition to medium or long term placements we are able to offer a short term break service (formerly known as respite).
We aim to provide a homely, nurturing environment and a specifically tailored creative approach to care that enables each individual to acquire the necessary skills and confidence to make their transition to adulthood.
An experienced and diverse care staff team ensure children are supported and given opportunities to optimise their potential, enabling them to develop skills and gain confidence to live as independently as possible.
All young people are allocated a key worker to oversee their care, provide specific support and to carry out direct work on relevant topics. |

An extensive programme of leisure activities offers choice and the chance to take in new experiences while allowing for existing hobbies and pastimes to be pursued.
Birtenshaw Hall Children’s Home occupies a large Victorian building set in its own grounds in a semi rural location. The building has been sympathetically modernised and adapted for use by disabled children.
Green Fields Children’s Home is a modern detached house situated in the grounds of Birtenshaw Hall. The home offers a specialist service for up to three young people with autistic spectrum disorder.
Both homes have access to a large enclosed garden with lawn, hard surface (for riding bikes and such like), play equipment and a seating area.
